Oahu Sites to See

There is no denying the fact that the scenery throughout the Hawaiian Islands is amazing, perhaps among the most beautiful and diverse in the entire world. And Oahu, the chosen site for your upcoming trip, delivers so many sites to see that you are going to have a vacation that is filled with the best sites that the island has to offer. No matter where you are on the island, there is a famous site to see, and you’ll likely recognize each and every site from the photos you’ve been viewing prior to your trip. Oahu’s sites to see are breathtaking, and each is a glimpse at what makes the island so special.

Koko Head Crater
Found on the South Shore, Koko Head Crater is an extinct volcano and is one of the top hiking spots on the island. The trail leads straight up the mountain, using old an old rail system to climb, and offers a stunning panoramic view of the island from the top. This hike is a challenge, and if you’re up for it, so much fun. You can also view the crater from the base, found near Hanauma Bay, or while driving around the island.

La’ie Point & Kaena Point
The North Shore is one of the most famous places on Oahu, drawing visitors to the top surf beaches in Hawaii. La’ie Point is a scenic lookout point in the town of La’ie and Kaena Point is the western most point on the island, and is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural side of the island. Visiting each requires a bit of work, though La’ie Point is only tough to find because it’s in a neighborhood. Either of these Oahu sites is a must for your trip.

Nu’uanu Pali Lookout
You may not find a better panoramic view on Oahu. The Pali Lookout overlooks the Windward Side of the island, stretching from Waimanalo all the way up to Kaneohe, with views of Kailua, the rainforest, Chinaman’s Hat island, and hidden surprises nearly everywhere you look. Most island sightseeing tours stop here, and if you are able to visit this famous Oahu site, get ready for the strongest wind you may ever encounter.

Manoa Falls
We have to include a waterfall on an Oahu sites list, right? Manoa Falls is tucked into the lush Manoa Valley, and is an easy hike to get to the falls. Usually, the trail is muddy and wet, but still able to be hiked, and the towering waterfall is the perfect place for a picture.
